In the world of Minecraft, the only limit is people's imaginations, and millions enjoy spending their time crafting up some interesting projects.

For many younger gamers, it's hard to imagine a time when there was no Minecraft. Initially released in 2009, it has risen to become one of the biggest IPs in the industry, and despite its age, it has still been one of the most played video games in 2022. One of the reasons why it's so popular after more than a decade is that it allows millions of people to unleash their creative potential in an ever-expanding world. People come up with all sorts of interesting projects, including recreating classic fairground games.

That's what Reddit user MTigurrr has done. A short video on the Minecraft subreddit shows that they've managed to create a whack-a-mole machine. The game is switched on at the beginning of the clip and all of the animals' heads appear through the holes before disappearing. And then, just like in the real version, each animal pops up at random and the player takes a swing at each one. It's a pretty impressive and faithful recreation of a classic.

Players have a lot of creativity when it comes to reimagining real-world things in the blocky game. While on the discussion of fairground frolics and carnivalesque contraptions, another user recently made a working rollercoaster in Minecraft. Projects such as these take a lot of skill and time, but evidently there are more than a few players out there who have what it takes to put together some fantastic creations, or recreations in this case.

Of course, many fans are also wont to create huge structures. There are some massive builds in the game, and if that's all there was to do, it would still be quite fun. However, with the implementation of Minecraft's versatile Redstone function, it's possible to make all sorts of cool and interesting contraptions. Projects can be as simple as players want them to be, or they can be immensely complex, with some people recreating entire video games or making a vending machine or an alarm clock. There really is no end to the possibilities.

With Minecraft: Legends recently being announced, which is an upcoming RTS spinoff of the game, there is evidently a lot more to explore in this already huge world. It's unlikely to outshine the original iteration of Mojang's sandbox title, but it will be interesting to see how fans receive it. For now, many players will continue to imagine and construct all sorts of machines, whether that's something conjured up from thin air or a digital version of a classic fair game that already exists in the real world.

Minecraft is available for Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
