Apparently, the Christmas party of 2004 was the last time the public was allowed into the property. Years later, in 2009, his estate had contacted an auction company to give his massive collection away. However, Jackson changed his mind at the last moment and stopped the auction from happening.

The auction house, Julien’s Auctions, held a public exhibition for people to behold his collection. As reports suggest, Jackson was about to give away 1000+ items in the auction.
